Instead of having a poetry contest this month, I’ll give you a Poetry Challenge.

I challenge you to create a character in your mind and write a poem about this character. Before you write your poem, I’d like you to write down 10-15 interesting things about this character. This character might have blue feet, yellow arms, and a purple nose. Instead of wearing shoes, this character might wear rocket rollerblades. This character might sleep under his/her bed, wear backwards clothes, and ride a flying bicycle to school. Use your imagination and see what you come up with.
